Sound problems

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I may have inadvertently changed some settings somewhere and then got distracted by something and had to shut down and go out unexpectedly.

When i returned i played a song track and now everything sounds as though it's underwater.

I can't for the life of me remember what i did, but this is driving me crazy.

Any help and advice would be very welcome.

if its a creative card you changed the EAX setting from its last setting

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

You could always go back to the last restore point. Easy to do and reversible if it doesnt work!

In the quick launch icons bottom right there should be a sound card icon, you have probably changed your settings in there, you can choose if you want your sound filtered so it sounds like water, church, hall etc. Just select none and and it should go back to normal. Otherwise use control panel, to device mangaer to uninstall your soundcard and then restart your pc, it will reinstall it with default settings.
