Have you ever been fishing and heard the words, av ya got any spair bait mate?

A few weeks ago 2 pals and i were fishing from a pier, this bloke came along asking for spair bait, we gave him half of one of our mackeral, later he returned and started casting into my mates swim lines started to tangle so my mate asked him to move along, the bloke then said well your using three rod mate, your only alowed 2. my pal then said your ment to bring your own bait, the bait poncer then said, but im skint mate, he was then told to bugger off and get a f*****g job.

Piers often have a two rod limit. I suppose it's to ease congestion.

Since when did it cost money to find peelers, dig worms, collect shelfish? Skint??? ##### lazy more like. Probably why he's skint too :D

We get it a lot around here (Lincs coast) with caravanners. You cannot get worms (to buy) south of Grimsby so fishing around Sutton/Huttoft (Moggs Eye) usually necessitates a trip to Grimsby (30 miles) the day before....

 

I have use the Lug smartbait a lot though and it produces results. I keep a couple of bags as emergency spares for me and if the 'borrowers' want some they can give me the 3 quid the same as any one else.

I'v had this happen to me a few times, i keep a small fresh-water spinner in my box now and give that out.......... its a good crack watching them standing there for 5 minutes waiting for it to sink to the bottom.
