Anderoo 394
The 3kg PP has arrived, it looks like the claimed diameter of 0.06mm is right, i.e. it looks to me as thin as the 8.5lb jig silk. I'll try it out next week and see how it performs...! I suspect it will be stronger than the jig silk even though it is not as striong And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music
Errrm 7
So I'm officially hooked on Zander fishing! It looks like I need to take a week off work in October so I was wondering if it's too late to add my name to the list? Which date is the fishin? Are there enough people with equipment (sonar + drouges) to allow another person to join the fishin?
Vagabond 1022
I will have to opt out this year, my cardiological tests are going to clash - unless the "waiting list manager" (you couldn't make it up !) postpones it again. So there is at present a spare boat......... Good luck to all who go a-zandering RNLI Governor World species 471 : UK species 105 : English species 95 . Certhia's world species - 215 Eclectic "husband and wife combined" world species 501 "Nothing matters very much, few things matter at all" - Plato ...only things like fresh bait and cold beer... Anderoo 394
Vagabond, sorry to hear you can't join us this time. Errrm, let me talk to rich tomorrow and see whether we can fit you in - we may not have enough spare stuff but I'll let you know. Errrm 7
No problem Anderoo, I should be able to find one of my lure rods which is suitable and assuming you can point me in the direction of the required lures/jig heads I should be fine for all that, so it's just the more boat specific stuff really which would cause the problem. Let me know if you can fit me in and I'll try and get the time of work (before you book any additional boats) Edited September 27, 2015 by Errrm
Anderoo 394
Hi Errrm, I think it is the boat experience/parafanalia that's the issue. I think we can get enough tackle together for you but it would mean 3 in a boat, which is possible but not ideal to be honest. Depending on how deep the drogue sits, it might not be possible for the middle person to fish without constant risk of catching the drogue. Yesterday, for example, it would have been extremely difficult. Can you make the back-up day 2 weeks later? If so that might be the best option? Errrm 7
Hiya, It sounds like it might be better to leave it then rather than come in at late notice, I'll make sure I sign up early for the next one :-). I'll possibly book the week off in which the 2nd option is occuring so if there is a spot available without causing issues I could join. What is the date of that one October 23rd?
