Hengistbury head and Beerpan rocks sat 14th July

launched at about 1pm,took the ebb out through the run and out to the mark at a steady 4.5mph.Few whitecaps mostly due to wind over tide and quite a large swell but it was fishable(in a P13 ).First up was a Wrasse

 

 

followed by a tiddler that I'm not sure what it is?suggestions!

 

 

 

by now the whitecaps had gone but there was still a reasonable swell

 

 

was getting piranna like Bream bites all afternoon and caught quite a few but none large enough for the pot

 

 

as I had ran out of mackerel bait decided to feather up some more,and soon ended up with enough for today's trip with Phooey too

 

 

At about 9pm decided to paddle back in to the sunset

 

 

and what a sunset it was!

What happened to your divers bag Richi - you've got a deck like a trawler!!! Last time I did that I lost 2 of the mackerel back overboard......and then I didn't zip the net bag up properly and lost the rest!!!

 

There is a moral there somewhere. Do your zip up.

Excellent post as usual oh tartmeister, keep em comin it keeps me sane in the cr@p weather we are havin here lately
