Hiya, ...Well, we are all home after a days fishing at LA,...Sonja and I, along with my mate Mick went up early yesterday....had a pretty awful days fishing, tho' aboard Catchalot there was one happy angler...Liam Mcbride ( Happy Dudes son) had a Conger of 31lbs...:)

I was awarded the Anglersnet Skate Trophy ( In Memory of Alan Taylor) by Sonja, and had a speech all prepared, but was greeted with PLEASE !!!! NO!!!!! :D:rolleyes::D so, just bought a round instead...:)

Jabee is in the lead for the Trophy for next year, with a 196Lber he got during the week...:)

Young Liam shone in another way last night...as Davy and I were recovering my boat, I saw some divers messing around at the Pier side, having a wee snorkel etc etc, then saw and heard all this splashing...that looks like fun I thought, and rattled off some pics...saying to Davy, theres a diver at the Bow of Catchalot, and didnt think anything of it, till a few minutes later, when we were told, that one diver, a young girl of mibbes 10-12, had got pulled out in the tide rip, and was hanging onto the bow for her life !!!!! :o If she let go, she WAS going out into the Sound !!!! as the tide was running at full pelt.... Linda shouted to Liam to grab her, which he did, and lifted her right out the water....almost certainly saving her life !!!! He had to see the doctor this morning, as it turned out, hes ripped his chest muscles lifting her clear.....what a lad... :D :D

Look to the left of the pic, at the bow of Catchalot, and you can see Liam on the left in the green gear, just after pulling her out the water...the divers at that stage had just found out what was happening...

I had to enhance the pic, as it was almost dark at the time, which actually made it more of a "life"saving situation....

Well done Liam...:)

I'll second that, Norries not exaggerating the wee girl was in quite a bit of trouble and none of the divers were watching her at all , well done Liam, he can now officially wear his underpants over his trousers B)

On another note we had a fantastic week with everyone. It was great to see Sonja again, unfortunately Paul had to go home early due to the flu...... hope youre feeling better soon. The weather was crap but the banter was a great as ever, some good meals out and some great company for meals in.... Even had the Bottlenose Dolphins swimming in the loch. Hope to see everyone again soon.

Norrie made the front page of October's Sea Angling news, well done sir, i have a copy if anyone wants to read it and will post it if required. cheers. :)

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..
