Hi all has anyone used the smartcast fish finders with their kayaks in the sea ? If so how well do they work ? I like the idea of not having to drill any holes etc and something that is not perminent

More of a toy / Gimmick than a usable finder IMO

Not in the sea but have used mine whilst float tubing in large freshwater loughs. Worked well as I wanted it primarily as a depth-finder. Did show some fish also when I swithced that function on.

I have one of these on my yak and it works a treat !

No wires and i trail the yellow transducer behind me.
