Yes a very strangre looking fish there has been 2 washed up on whitby beach over the last 25 years 1 was not to many years ago .

Yes that oarfish washed up on redcar beach which is roughly 25miles north of whitby the last one which washed up here which was only a few years ago there was very little left of the fish but there was another one about 30years ago and it had only just died and was in perfect condition.

The article says she was fishing for mackerel, do you normally get mackerel in February up there BC?

 

Isn't the guy in the middle of the shot the guy out of Auf weidersein pet, the one who was the foreman, Dennis was his name.

 

No we dont get mackeral up here if febuary well to give you some idea i caught 4 blue fin tuna in my garden pond llast night on size 3 meps :lol:

The article also said that the 3.5m fish was three times longer than she was tall. No wonder she struggled to land it! :D

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!
