decorations for holidays go up earlier and earlier every year. by the time Christmas actually arrives, I've had more than my fill of Christmas music and all the commercialism that goes with it. I do have to admit that I have the majority of the Christmas shopping done for the grandkids, though. Hurts the budget less if you pick things up throughout the year.

If you ever want to see a person on the edge of madness, I can recomend going into a major retail outlet in mid December and saying to the person on the till "With all this Christmas music, you must all be very cheary".

If you're into Christmas cards and decorations and are afficted with the need to buy them at times other than the two week runup to Christmas, may I recomend purchacing them along with your Christmas novely gifts in the three weeks following Christmas when you'll pay a third of the price.

I was chatting in the local shop and remarked that they already had selection boxes on display.

"Yes" the girl behind the counter said "and the best before date is the middle of november!!!!!!"
