The Anglers' Net Moderation Team (Greek Division) will come back to you on this one..... :D

Glenn - you MUST get 'net access over there. Your life journey will make fascinating reading. Only the fishing bit, obviously - nobody here wants to read about glorious weather, fantastic beaches, bikini clad beauties, beer and kebabs.

Well, maybe a couple of us....err, them.

In time, I hope. Rumour has it that O.T.E. (greek telecom) only get off their bums when you go down to the depot, cook them a nice breakfast and fill their van with diesel. This may be an exaggeration, of course, but the initals of OTE are translated by the locals into "Neither do I have a phone" :)

I'll use our friends' interwebs connection to get a photo on here if I manage to catch one of those fish in the stream. It's quite pacey and perfect for grayling-style trotting. The float rod is packed but I reckon I need a decent 'pin eh?

Later ;)

Bleeding heart liberal pinko, with bacon on top.

WOW!! A mention (Of SORTS!!) on another thread!! Glen, may I say ONE thing?? ENJOY it!! I am and see NO way back!! YES I miss certain things, but then I am not so far away that I can't pop back now and again?!

I KNOW there is a large contingent of ex. pats in Greece so company shouldn't be a problem!

But if I can offer ONE small piece of advice?? LEARN TO SPEAK at least a LITTLE of the language!! It is invaluable!! If nothing else so you KNOW when the locals are slagging you off!!!!

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))

Et vous gagner le respect des gens aussi.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.
