Black coffee for me. Also, I never pour a full cup, just in case I get a run at the same time as having a drink.

well folks ive just got my flasks ready and woke the kids up for school !!

one flask has tea for the morning and the other has bovril with some white pepper in for later this afternoon when the temps start to drop again, off to catch some carp on crusty bread !!

i will let you know how i get on ??

Earl Grey tea, made fresh on a Coleman stove burning straight unleaded.

Anyone noticed the ubiquitous thermal mugs seem to affect the taste of your chosen beverage? Tried plastic and metal, all seem to add a slight yuk effect. At the moment just using a plain china mug but this can be a problem if, as usually happens a pike run develops at slurp #2....

Not read back throught he thread so sorry if I'm going over old ground but for me on these cold evenings I take 2 flasks. 1 has copious amounts of hot tea and the other has a tin of heinz tomato soup in it and on the way to the venue, I pop by a supermarket and grab me a fresh crusty loaf to dunk in it.

Indian spicy tea, available from any Asian deli or even supermarkets in some parts of the country. Like most other people, I take the milk separately.

Im fond of green teas & fruit teas but one ive found excellent for the flask is Orange, Mango & Cinnamon tea, by Twinings. Two bags & a few spoons of sugar in a flask & you're away. The cinnamon & orange really warm you up. Quite a refreshing tea

I have to have my caffeine fix, so it has to be coffee. I've found the best way to stop that stewed

flavour is to use creamer powder rather than milk. Ideally as some have suggested take the milk separately, but that's just something else to knock over, especially as that old law of sod applies that as soon as you start to pour your drink, you get that bite you've been waiting for for the last hour
