Ordered some kit from Leslies of Luton on Friday, I needed a new quiver and some other bits and pieces....

Delivered 9am this morning, and everything I ordered was there...

I'll be using them again

Tight lines

Praise where praise is due!

Value-for-money?

I used to use them up until a couple of years ago when their prices got a tad out of kilter with their competitors.

Got to be a steal at that price, and loads cheaper than the Kryston stuff

But then again, Sufix do make their own lines etc

Not been in the actual shop for a few years now but when I last did the staff seemed to consist of very arrogant young men who actually knew nothing at all about the stock they were selling.

However as said re the mail order service credit where its due.We often complain about some shops high prices but as in the case of Harris Angling for example there service is excellent. Some times want stuff quick and dont mind paying that bit more.Other times Iam in no hurry and the lowest price is my prime concern.Dont really mind as long as a high price isnt combined with crap service!

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

I am sorry Budgie that I don't agree with you. :D about the arrogant young men working in Leslies of Luton. I have visted the shop so many times in the last seven years and even just started on their excellent mail order. Perhap you may have caught the staff on a bad day. All the staff are very friendly especially to Ian Crawley who work in the Predators Section. I have never seen the shop which have so many different choices/ranges of fishing gears. If they tend to run out on some things in a week,It is ordered very quickly and in a less a week, the new stock are in. And that you cannot beat it, not like some tackle shop I do know who make another order and don't come in a few months!

Growing old is inevitable but growing up is optional

Andy,

I tend to agree with Budgie and I won't shop in Leslies anymore. They do have an impressive stock but their fallings out with some of the suppliers means they can't stock his gear.

Then again I have an excellent, more local, shop so maybe I'm spoiled

Rob.

I ordered some new gear from Bobco tackle two weeks ago and have not even had a sniff of a delivery date, they haven't even taken payment yet, or replyed to my enquires. It was a bit cheaper, granted, but I have to say it's not worth it when compared with the service, which is appalling. Won't be buying anything from them again.
