I just received this today and thought that some here might like to sign it too.

Hi,

www.whalesrevenge.com is trying to get a million people to sign a petition

to stop whaling.

If you could tell as many people as you can about our website, that would be

a great help.

Thanks for your support and remember to sign the petition.

signed up without hesitation. i was always facinated with whales as a child and its a terrible shame that whaling is still occuring at all, regardless of the reasons.

Love the game on that website - it reminds me of the "Up Periscope" (early electronic arcade game) I used to play at funfairs in the 60s. Why are the whaling ships dropping explosive wagglers, though?

It is incredible, numbers have increased dramatically since I first saw it yesterday. If everyone who signs it sends it on to other groups the trend may well continue. :clap2: One thing that is encouraging is that a lot of the many Japanese tourists that visit Perth go out on whale spotting trips from local marinas. I don't know what their intentions or epectations are when they go out, but when they come back you can see that like most of us, they have been humbled by the experience. I think a lot of them will go home and tell their friends about what they have seen and what a crime it is to kill such fantastic animals. I think that whales gain more friends every year and the should soon be totally protected. Let us just hope that it is sooner rather than later.

My wife has just been looking at the petition and she gave up after looking at 80 pages of signatures for today (29/11/07) alone!
