Me motherboard went wrong on me xp computer so went and bought a new one at the weekend, it took till today to get back online with a new package from, (cough) aol.

At the moment i am very happy with the new toy and have already found ways of moving around the new system that i could not do on xp. For a computer numpty i am pleased as to how easy it is to use.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

I too replaced my computer earlier this year and the new machine came with Vista. I find it a big improvement on XP and would never want to change back. In particular it's been much more stable than XP ever was, and also very easy to use even for someone as useless with computers as me!

its probably the best time all the worst bugs have been cured and the updates just make minor tweaks. havnt got it myself yet xp's fine with me but more and more stuff wont support xp so its not long.then make it look exactly like xp classic style ,turn off the crap that makes it visually pleasing rather than cpu pleasing and bobs your relation.

all said its pretty pointless 32bit processing is dead the memory problem wont go away.

I got a new laptop about a year ago. It came with Vista, but I have downgraded it to XP and it runs better than it ever did with Vista. XP is more stable and I have much more memory free when running XP than I do with Vista.

If you still have an XP disk, try installing XP on your new machine, see for yourself how much quicker your new PC is when it's not hobbled by Vista.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

No your right 32 bit processing is on the way out, that 4GB limit is written in stone. Vista will not even install on a PC that has got 5GB in it, it will run in 5GB (although it can only 'see 4GB), but you need to have <4GB to install.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

I love Vista, I run 4 machines, two with XP (one a lovely new Eee PC 901 :)) one with Vista and one with OSX, The Vista one is by far the most stable, the easiest to use and the most productive. The fastest? Well, yes actually, how faster it may be running XP is something I really can't be bothered to find out as in the real world it matter not a bit.

Jon

Did you convert your Eee PC to XP or did you buy it ready installed? I am running Linux on mine and have had no problems whatever.

Vista looks nice but in my experience it is much less stable than XP. I'm finding that many programmes crash unless they are started as an administrator. I might well be going back to XP myself.

running both xp and vista, window xp purely because vista is crap when it comes to a programming environment but for entertainment its alright i like to use the media centre for watching movies, music and porn

is the porn on the vista disk as a "service" or is it a seperate install :D

trouble is i still dont know if 64 bit windows will run as "32 bit" the same way as you can (but usually not!) run old progs in a virtual win98 or 95 surrounding ,if xp64 or vista 64bit runs 32bit stuff ok then i will plump for 64bit but i have had conflicting answers from techs at the IT section where i used to work ,some say its fine on some others say its rubbish ,you can get drivers more easily but will the old games run in a 32bit "box"?

i suppose a dual boot system will be the answer (if its possible) new stuff for 64bit slowly getting put on the 64bit windows whilst the 32bit XP slowly gets less?
