"Guest" facility

I have set up a "Guest" facility on my PC, but I can't find how to allow it to log on to the Internet.

 

I should add that I get an "Application Error" box appear with the message, " Could not create entry ( ""+Speedtouch Connection"") "

 

Any ideas please ?

Did you create the Guest Account through "User Accounts" in Conrol Panel, or use the built in Guest Account?

I used the "User Accounts" in Control panel and set up a new account as "Guest".

 

I asssumed it would be able to access the Internet by just hitting the desktop icon, but when I try that I get the aforementioned message.

I think that you have to set user permissions for each application for non-admin account users. I'd test that here but I'm at work on a Windoze 2000 machine.

 

Try going into CP>User Accounts>Change Account>Guest and setting program permissions.

Thanks Ian, the trail is fine until I get to >Guest and then there is no place for "setting program permissions".

Perhaps you should rename the account 'Visitor'! Could be a conflict.
