I wouldn't dream of it. Xmas is a family time in our house and I'd rather spend it with them.

 

Mind you, I did suggest to Peggy we pop into Wingham "just to check everything's OK." The look I got decided me otherwise!

 

Luckilly, one of my baillifs will be doing the rounds today instead.

No fishing for me today..we (Hazel and Barney and me) will take a stroll around one of the MKF lakes. Probably meet a few other dog walkers :) Family coming later ........

Just been for a pootle around the Broad and there is one boat out. A couple of blokes out piking, and by the sound of it well lubricated! Both carol singing at the tops of their voices! A heartfelt dirge by the sound of it!

If i even suggested it i would have my scrotum removed with the trifle spoon :huh: , i can see why it would be attractive to some though,a stress free xmas doing something you love and not the queen or a motherinlaw in sight..bliss :D

Ouch!! its a bit off though that Christmas day had to coincide with near perfect winter fishing weather, but looks OK for the next few days.

BTW Did you ever make the Severn barbel trip last July? Or did the floods spoil it.
