Can't wait to see the pin, I am looking to buy a new one but will hold off till I hear what its like.

Hope it has a spare spool facility so I can use it for roach as well as Barbel without having to use different c/pins.

I'm also holding off buying a new one until I see this pin! I've heard some very good things about it!

I saw the 'almost ready' Anglers' Net centrepin today and, boy, does it look good!

There are a few 'tweaks' to be made and then, hopefully, it will be in 'production' in a few week's time, so I'll have some photos and more details.

For those of you who are thinking, "What the flip is he on about?", this reel is the brainchild of a forum member and has had input along the way from quite a few 'pin-using forum members. It is being made by his own company, who already make components for well known fishing tackle companies (including centrepins) AND is being completely made in the UK.

It will be the first time that any piece of tackle has had the Anglers' Net name on it and, to be honest, it wouldn't have happened if I'd have had to go out and commission it all myself. We were working it out today and, had this been a customer job, we're already talking a few grand on R&D to get to this stage.

Most people interested will want to know price, but we honestly don't know for sure yet. It won't be as cheap as some of the foreign imports but, for sure, it won't be astronomical either. We need to make sure it's economically worth doing, though, as it's something that could lead to other things in the future, hopefully.

Anyway, watch this space. :)

errr i have Anglers NEt proudly tatoo'd on my tackle ,if i get really exited you will see its the entire URL ,ok its just A :( but it is cold ;):D

Sounds interesting im in the market for a new centrepin, albeit at a sensible price.

Will there be a limited production run?

Did I see the prototype on the Test this year ? I think I did ( it was black and had anglers ner etched on it, bit of a clue I suppose )and you are right Elton it did look good and the person involved was catching well on it. :)

That's the one :)

And in answer to another question above, the Mk1 will almost definitely be a limited production run. Hopefully numbered, too.

I've also seen the prototype and it's superb. I'll be adding my name to the list. All British made and screwed together by a thoroughly good chap!

PS the person was catching well because he'd nabbed the best swim! Only kidding

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

I did quite a lot of river fishing last year and caught some nice grayling so I was thinking about getting a centrepin if it isn't too expensive hopefully the mk1 version isn't too limited as to stop me getting my name down for one.

From the sound of it, this reel is going to be sold out almost immediately! If it has what we want on it, I hope us old timers (on Anglers Net I mean, say two years or more!) get dibs onit!
