yes, everything was fine this year, the hotel was lightyears ahead of the usual sh!thole we stay at and the food was spot on.....

 

hows your busted ribs these days??

 

back on the weights yet??

thing is rob the problems out there are confined to a small area in nairobi and an area hundreds of KM west of there in the rift valley. areas which either no-one in their right minds would venture into ie the nairobi slums, or out west and no where near the game reserves.

 

 

 

there hasn't been a single day of trouble where we went on the coast at malindi/watamu and not 1 tourist has been molested or harmed in any way in the entire country.

 

there was an expat englishman murdered at watamu while we were there, apparently the papers over here made a meal out of it blaming the political problems but in truth it was a botched robbery by the persons own night watchman, who incidentally robbed the golf club the day before at gunpoint and was implicated in the stabbing of an italian during a robbery the week before.

 

you know how they caught them??

 

they brought a bloodhound in from a game reserve up country and it chased up the beach all the way from watamu to urban malindi (15 miles or so) straight to their door and 3 were caught redhanded with some of the victims goods.

 

it's a damned disgrace what the foreign office has done to those people and their economy with the knee jerk reactions

Yes Les the ribs are 95%. Direct pressure on them still causes discomfort. Been back on the weights again for ages now. Just a couple of exercises I am a bit wary of.

 

Enough of me mate,its your thread. What an adventure you had there and real quality fishing as well. Some great action shots too. You coming down the Mull this year,still waiting for that tope trip

 

Looking forward to a few Bellhaven bests with you and Tony in the Clash. What a team we made last time

hopefully the weather will be better this summer, it can't get worse than last year, thats for sure.

 

will be down at some point mate....

 

yes, i still have the boat, unfortunately it's not moved out the back garden since november and not likely for a few weeks yet, my wife's mother is about to peg out any day and there is a world of hurt heading my way between this and some other stuff, by christ you pay for your fun.... :(

 

oh well, i have my memories :sun:
