The end of bass fishing as we know it ?

no they don't. They have an issue challenging the truth.

They block those who don't share their opinion on their sanitised web pages. Salter has a lot to do with TAT's face book page and he certainly blocks those who challenges him. They tried to communicate with anglers once, but they couldn't control their own members within their own web based forum. They attempted to speak to anglers through WSF but pulled out. The honcho met up with Nick Staples last year, it came to nothing.

There are now disgruntled bass rsa on social media at the mo, TAT will distance themselves away from the flack that they have caused and claim that those who complain are agitators. I have to ask just who are the anarchist's

It's all about control and funding first and foremost TAT have made it known last year that anglers are not their priority when it comes to the funding source..

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Lord Mullet of Medwey will be laughing all the way to the vegetarian shop with a copy of the Guardian in his bicycle basket.

ahh that would be one of the main instigators many years ago that set up the disparity with the u k bass pair trawlers and the rest of the e u fleet. That was on the premise of killing dolphins. (he must have done a superb job as there are lots of reference in u k waters now of dolphin super pods, no bass on witch to feed on though :D ) The French, ever since have been landing on average 9 times more bass than the whole of the u k. The French also enjoy more than 70% of the cod quota in the channel as well. Now TAT are going bonkers in their attempts to get the bass netters in the u k even more restrictions, blaming them for yet more devastation of the bass stocks. Again the challenge is regarding the limited science TAT are relying on. The solent does not house the whole of the uk's bass recruitment and that dodgy science is all TAT have.

Dave Barham on TAT's face book page discussing where TAT bigged up the rsa bass take and the value of the rsa bass industry, they came back and suggested that those figures are government sourced and was important according to them to use in their quest for bass management with defra and their e u chums. And their obvious lack of consultation, communication with the rsa industry as a whole.

quote Dave Barham:

Let's get one thing straight. I'm by no means a 'bass conservationist'. I used to kill probably 25 bass per year out of the hundred or so I caught. Yes, I have returned loads of big and immature bass, but I don't promote C&R. In my view, if someone wants to kill a couple of fish for the table it's their right to do so.
Tell me again how these proposals were NOT brought about by you and BASS? The mere fact that you continue to quote 800,000 sea anglers in the UK is just one reasons why I find your organisation a joke. That and the fact that despite numerous attempts to help you out by giving you a 'voice' in my magazine, you couldn't be bothered to produce a page of news and views each month.
I was asked by Sea Angler magazine to present a balanced feature for them regards the proposal, which you can read in this month's issue - it's in the shops now. That involved me contacting people from all aspects of the fishery, from bass guides and tackle shops to charter skippers and commercial fishermen - even the Angling Trust.
It's a real shame that you don't interact with sea anglers, bass guides, charter skippers, tackle dealers, tackle manufacturers and inshore commercial fishermen - you might have a better idea of what's going on out there, and how people really feel. I suspect you have a rough idea how people really feel about the Angling Trust though, that's really not hard to miss on social media, pretty much everywhere you look...

Been blocked from TAT's face book page, don't know why :D so I asked my boy to reply to mr haylin, be very good if they have anything credible or of worth to justify why they considered even to have anything to do with the e u.

quote:

Michael Heylin What on earth is emotive about stating facts?
James Luxton Mr Heylin my dad loves facts, perhaps you or Mr Salter can be gracious enough to provide some for the RSA. Who's idea was it to use ngo and anglers subscription monies, paying the EAA. As we are aware, nothing positive will come out of joining in with the failed commons fishery policy. Who's idea was it to link the rsa with the cfp. Clearly demonstrated, the first test with dealing with the e u is this bass issue, where the u k charter boat industry and anglers are in the front line and will suffer. What went wrong? How can this outcome possibly be construed as enhancement, clearly it is a massive step backwards. What science can the trust provide other than the limited solent recruitment samples where they went hot foot to the government claiming the stock was about to 'fall off a cliff', Mr Salters words? Was there any? Please don't reply simplisticly with 'ices' have said so. What facts have the trust relied on? The claim within this topic is the overwhelming evidence of depletion, STILL. The french bass take was approximatly 9 times the uk's so how is it that the u k RSA industry are the ones suffering. In particular, evidence was put to parliament (briefing papers) linking the u k and the french landings as one. What proposels have the trust got to make ammends? How many RSA are there supporting, mandating the trust to link with the e u and what are the benefits?

Please provide some answers for my dad and the RSA to look at. kind regards and in anticipation, James.
