I'm glad you said that. I was actually talking about Angling Vagabond to somebody yesterday and said how a lot of it was similar to my own childhood (born in 1971) and how I doubt somebody living their childhood now would be able to say the same.

I read the first couple of chapters yesterday, and thought exactly the same thing (although we mostly stocked our little ponds with purloined rudd and crucian carp :D )

Speaking of childhood recollections... There was a wonderful book out in the early 60's Called "Fishing with Mr. Crabtree"... does anyone remember the book and even better still have any ideas where I might get a copy for my boy.

Thanks

If Jeff S reads this, he might tell us if he got such an email confirming his order.

Hmm.. Three weeks late in answering this. Priorities you know :)

I did indeed get a confirmation from Trafford and look forward to its arrival.

Rob J- I've seen various posts about Mr. Crabtree, not sure where you can find it but a quick search of the archives should turn up something. As popular as this Mr. Crabtree seems to be I would be surprised if anyone would want to give up their copy. If you do find it can you let us know where you do?

Jeff

I gave my pristine copy to my Grand Nephew for Christmas :(

(But I've still got an old dog-eared and scribbled upon copy that I bought for £1 at a boot fair)

Fishing with Mr Crabtree in All Waters & Mr Crabtree goes Fishing are two different books. Both come up regularly on ebay and a quick search of Abebooks has dozens....
