Did you miss the fuel prices barry the weak pound has slaughtered monarch and again the brexit vote shafted the pound it did then and still is it's number 1 on its failure list if you read the link again tge weak pound wasn't solely the reason for its failure but it surely didn't help .

FYI, A1 Jet fuel price started to fall mid 2014 to reach a low point about Jan 2015 at approximately 48% lower than it traded the previous January, since then the price has risen and fallen slightly and is currently about 40% lower than 2014.

The vast majority of airlines ' hedge' fuel, that is to say they set the purchase price for two years worth of use, some do not and purchase on a day to day basis, these are the ones who benefit when the rate drops, an airline needs a decent cash flow to do this.

Far easier for the chief executive to blame brexit and a weak pound whilst walking away and coincidentally starting a new group at the exact time the airline ceased trading, all the muppets and numpties in the press and those that follow them will start yelling the brexit ****ks and perhaps not notice the stupid business dealings, cash injections, non payment of tax etc etc whilst the guilty walk away pointing and smugly shouting "Oh look over there it's a brexit fire" whilst walking quickly in the other direction.

Obviously the previous CE of monarch is completely clueless silly man now I was never one of mr heseltines adoring fans but this man actually talks sense he goes into say brexit was won on immigration bottom line as heseltine says free movement of people needs to be amended or changed from its present form this would make people have a completely different outlook on the EU .

Bombardier is the real world in trade outside the EU all the charging round the world getting nowhere now tell me have we actually managed to get anything better than we have now NO is the anser unless YOU can come up with something which ain't there !!!!!!

Boris Johnson was asked the same question and guess what he couldn't anser it that's your brexit for you brexit will end up being as popular as mrs May and you know where she is heading if you haven't noticed and public opinion is actually now turning away from brexit the penny is now dropping have people now realised they were deceived terrible isn't it

Here's the comments from the former ceo that contradicts your assumptions. As usual you will apply your selective reading and ignore the facts.

"The competition was relentless. It was expanding. It had very deep pockets even back when I was running Monarch seven or eight years ago," recalls Tim Jeans, the firm's former managing director.

"There were warning signs then and I think subsequently the market has only got more difficult.

"Competition is all fair and normally very, very good for consumers, but ultimately competition can be unsustainable. And the demise of Monarch is a direct result of that," Mr Jeans says.

But finally with a gaping deficit in the company's pension plan, in 2014, the family had had enough. They put a final £50m into the company they had owned for half a century, and sold it on to turnaround specialists Greybull Capital.

The company abandoned long haul routes and 700 jobs were cut. It turned out to be only a temporary reprieve. Even a hefty investment from Greybull wasn't enough to bring Monarch up to fighting weight to take on the budget carriers.

Terrorist attacks in Egypt, Turkey and Tunisia, the migrant crisis in southern Europe and more recently the weakness of the pound following the EU referendum vote have all kept UK holiday-makers away from some of Monarch's most popular destinations.

Re your last comment, yes I agree, farage has told all (prior to leftie hesaltine muppet repeating it) brexit was won on immigration, he has stood up in the e u parliament and reminded the clowns over there, if they had listened and gave dave dave a chance of reform from within the out come would have been very different. What do the e u offer in stead. MORE SCHENGAN MORE FEDERALISUM LESS AUTONOMY AND NO ACCOUNTABILITY. AND MORE INTRANSIGENCE.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

There was different reasons monarch went down probably more so with Egypt Tunis, terrorism haven't helped those routes were a major part of there business but the weak pound did add an £50 million to last years fuel bill so which ever way you look at it the brexit contributed to there demise .

Can you tell this barry why is the pound so weak if confidence in brexit was as high as you make it to be to me it's the complete opposite and the powers that be seem to agree .

And barry heseltine a leftie come on now your having a laugh because he doesn't agree with brexit he is a leftist ? That man is ultra right wing an old far right Tory heavyweight where you been .

Things are not going well in the Eastern part of the EU with nations of Visegrad Group refusing to accept migrant quotas.

Strange that our press have little to say on the matter and continue to push for us to set aside the most significant democratic vote in recent British history.

Meanwhile, leaders are emerging...

But their governments will be happy to take EU money and their citizens only to willing to take advantage of FOM.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

What a car crash of a speech. I almost feel sorry for her. Almost but not quite.

More cobblers from you, I link you to all of her speech, look again and listen, perhaps you can intimate what part of her speech is a car crash. She has spent an hour speaking sense and sensibility, dealing with an interruption, most professionally, even though she is clearly under the weather.

Or are you just gobbing off thinking that you have some form of credibility, without the need for justification?
