Please excuse the swearing within this link, outrage as scallopers devised a plan to fish the hard ground, resulting in the cod shortage in the north sea.

Whoops silly me scallopers removed a bigger ship than i posted

http://www.whitbyseaanglers.co.uk/forum/threads/chief-fisheries-officer-doesnt-give-a-hit-about-scallopers-damage.35220/

Now i can see dredges can by accident get stuck on ships but towing one away or deliberately dragging dredges over one ludicrous ,the hawser would have to be several thousand tons breaking strain greater than the weight of the ship and the boat towing it have engines the size of malta to move it!

Its those excuses that come out when skippers cannot satisfy customers " its them ****ing scallopers what did it ,the boat /reef /rocky ground was there yesterday honest "

Seems the spelling and grammar (not that i can speak) are pretty much the same init

Baramundi bob seems to have the right idea lol

i think scallops should be caught at 200 yards out ,3 miles and their a bit rubbery mind you once those nasty wrecks and reefs have gone think of all those scallops and flatties in the sand yummmm

Just had a brilliant idea to save money Chesters, mate of mine has twin sons, one was a Para, the other was a Booty, makes for an interesting Christmas for him! Royal Marine son a couple of years ago transferred to EOD and is now a Royal Navy diver at Vernon.

Recently they have been a tad busy disposing of all the ordinance dredged up from Pompey Harbour to accommodate the new carrier, HMS Queen Elizabeth, with that work now complete they are back to clearing a damned big list of underwater wrecks and obstructions in the Solent.

That somewhat time consuming and dangerous task can now easily be solved by running a few scallop dredgers along the Solent flattening out and towing away the problems, see, easily sorted.

No mention in the forum you linked to of the fact that Cod and other white fish are not returning to areas because the Dutch boats are removing thousands of tonnes of sand eels from the North Sea, interrupting the food chain, no mention of that of course because it's easily rectified by leaving the EU and thus the CFP.

Clod prefers to support the EU and its continued aim for globalisation, like another on here, slags off bankers and financial corporations in one sentance and then mouth it off in support for the same corporation because they might leave, I expect that if the Govt. listen to them and 'do a deal' to keep the bankers happy, it will be at the expense of the CFP compliance, he will then get back on his horse and say it's our fault.

Sounds good and perhaps on a day off they can tow the titanic to shore so we can restore it ,should be easy its in two halves so just an hour or so .

As you i dont like any political party nor politician anyone wishing to become one should be executed along with the idiots voting for them.as for brexit unfortunately its one bunch of politicians against another ,we will be screwed in or out! being out gives us the chance to hang more than staying in and hanging none

I find it strange some think they are saving britain by undermining it and putting our people on the dole by importing foreigners ,keeping wages low ,a huge demand on housing and driving the price up and putting a huge strain on the nhs and having a negative impact in tax revinue!?

They also complain the gov has to raise taxes to regain the lost tax helping the poor by removing them from paying tax at all ,unfortunately you cannot have it both ways

They also whine about small fluctuations in the cost of living and the exchange rate under the guise of leaving europe yet never admit far higher ones existed whilst in the EU long before brexit was even thought of!

"So long as men worship the Caesars and Napoleons, Caesars and Napoleons will duly arise and make them miserable". - Aldous Huxley.

Or, at the risk of repeating myself again, as it's now the third time I have quoted Steffans, much to the disdain of a certain 'socialist' or two on here who openly support globalisation and bankers, or even the same who fail to see Phone's quote as being what it is.

"They live life very vividly, and the stakes are very high if you don't have a lot of money to cushion your life. Also, because they're the front line of what we came to call the class war. Either through being workers without work, or through being exploited where they were working. And I guess for a political reason, because we felt, and I still think, that if there is to be change, it will come from below. It won't come from people who have a lot to lose, it will come from people who will have everything to gain."

An awful lot of rhetoric and, quite frankly ****s on here from people who claim to support 'workers', 'the poor' or anything or anybody else whilst prepared to sell them out at a moments notice to support the beauracrats, fat cats and 'elite' of the EU and its continued path towards toward the Third Reich now renamed so that it doesn't offend their snowflake personalities.

Ohhhh my gawed, here we go yet again, show us the detail of all this scalloping destruction, according to you it's all over the net, just a few samples will be good. Tell me, show me where lobsters, crabs and scallops live in the same habitat. Is there something special about the ground off the Yorkshire coast. while your at it, show us detail of the areas of cod grounds that the scallopers have cocked up. Have you any links or facts you can point out to me?

You haven't shown me the difference between French and uk, dived scallops is there any? I know I don't pay too much for the ones off Portland, and brexit has had no effect what so ever on the cost. I would in fact pay double if I needed to as you really can't buy them in the fishmongers that's for sure.

One tiny snippet, tell me the difference between the French hand dived ones and the ones dragged up by the u k scallopers 12 mile off the French coast, is there any?

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..
