What is the best bit of kit you have bought and why?

 

Mine has to be my Preston Innovations X3 ("ohhh, he isnt on about that X3 again!!") Its the greatest use of money in my life

I now own three of these rods, 1 x 9 feet and 2 x 10 feet, all in 4 piece. Despite being spinning rods, I use the 10 footers for heavy end coarse fishing (and the 9 footer for spinning). So sweet to use and great for travel.

Hooks and hook length, as the rest of my tackle is over priced and unnecessary.

mine has to be the daiwa yank 'n'bank because it tames big lumps with its red hydro elastic

Harrison 15'Gti Get used all summer for tench and crucian fishing and all winter for trotting - and for perching on the canal. Wouldn't/couldn't be without it!

PVA mesh tubing, used it for the first time last year and had an instant impact on my ledgering. Caught more fish, but my PB eluded me for another year.

This is almost impossible to answer! Should it be my lovely new centrepin? The beautiful soft carp rods I've had for over 15 years and I'd be lost without? My 'barbel' rod which gets used for everything (except barbel )? My lovely trotting rod?
