I keep receiving unwanted e-mail re viagra and fake jewellery etc. Anyone know of good cheap software that will block it ? I have recently installed the Norton antivirus 2008 software but that doesn't do anything with spam. Any ideas please ? Thanks - Ali

What OS are you using , as Vista has a little button asking if you want this type of crap to go straight to the junk mail folder and also blocks the sender.

Ali, Hi,

Who do you have your e-mail account with, i could not find out from your profile. There are some good spam blocker products, some free, some not, however also e-mail providers are both good and bad with the way they manage spam.

As Mr said lets know what OS you have and your e-mail provider and we/someone may have some suggestions.

Thanks for all the responses. I have a freeserve e-mail account which is now managed by Orange and use Outlook Express, if that answers the questions ?

Most systems will let a few through the mail system because if you shut it down to tight you will lock some mail you require.

I use credimail as my docking station and when an unwanted email turns up I take delight in blocking sender, bouncing to sender and deleting with one touch of the button.

I fish, I catches a few, I lose a few, BUT I enjoys. Anglers Trust PM

I have exactly the same set-up.

This is the free version of Mailwasher, which is excellent, http://www.mailwasher.net/
