Hi

I have looked round at the links sent and was most impressed..... I remember seeing Mick at Glos park many years ago!..... good to see he is still around :D

Was going fishing today...... but not in the snow

LOL don't blame you, I was going to try the Warren for an early spring tench, but decided to have a lie in instead :)

I fish a bit further west of you in Herts/Beds/Essex but I just wanted to say hi and welcome.

Welcome to the forum Jobrian. Nice to see another lady angler on here! The guys on this site are a pretty amazing bunch. I can't begin to tell you the amount of helpful advice that I've had since I started.

I'm not out fishing today, although I have a new float rod that I'm just itching to try out! I'm just praying the weather will hold for tomorrow though, so I can go out with a clear conscience, having done all the housework and ironing!

Ah, a woman's lot is not an easy one....

Hello all

Im sure I will be here often looking for advice :)

I used to fish, but not experienced, a few years back and in recent years moved to Essex so thought I would try fishing again :clap2:

In the warmer months would like to set up my rather large tent and fish all weekend

Looking around for places that would allow me to.

Regards to you all

hi , i noticed your post about lakes in essex and so forth with campsites? well i know this is nowhere near essex but is worth the travel. www.winghall.co.uk

they have a campsite for tents and caravans. it is 6 pound per night.. and has 2 lakes owned by wing hall, the lakes are accessable by car and foot.. it is a 10 minute walk down the country and it is a brilliant setting.. really really nice.

the lakes are stock with , carp ( common, mirror and ghost ) , bream, tench and perch. it really is a brilliant setting really really nice.. and the average catch of a carp is 15lbs, i got 2 15lb carp while i was there..it really is nice..

it is only 2 hours away from you.

PB Mirror Carp: 10lb 7oz

PB Common Carp: 7lb 7oz
