I would like to know where the term Angling comes from... anyone know ?

I think we should stick to the name of Fishing, the title Angling should I think go to Snooker because its the right angle you have to find between the pocket and the point you have to hit the ball with the que ball......Snooker is more about Angling than anything else I know

As you may or may not know - it's a translation form the Old English - of the 1st ever printed work in England on angling. Dates from the late 15thC. I still get intrigued by some of the bait recipes - which wouldn't look out of place today!
