Has anyone read the url I posted??????????????????

Probably not, Phone

Even people in charge of paying salaries haven't read it.

From your link

You don’t have to stop working when you reach State Pension age but you’ll no longer have to pay National Insurance.

Which doesn't stop salary depts trying to deduct NI every time Norma does a consultancy job. ALWAYS she has to write and point this out

I had a letter from HMRC recently: in short, I may have paid NI contributions whilst receiving *Carers Allowance* for my wife

if so. the NI insurance is an overpayment and needs to be refunded to me.

Carers Allowance stops being paid once I'm in receipt of my state pension.

They say they will offset any overpayment against my future NI contributions - which is very nice of them but it won't happen cos I won't be paying any more NI contributions as I am now receiving my state pension.

I'll phone them sometime and point out the error of their ways when I can work out how to raise my boredom threshold.

let us know how you get on. my missus is paying n I while receiving allowance for our boy. And we have an accountant on board and he has never suggested that there is a clash with the two? And she has also more than the required years payments made to receive a full pension as and when.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Mine was Class 2 (self-employed contributions), don't know if that's the same as your wife, but the letter definitely says that Class 2 shouldn't be paid whilst in receipt of Carers Allowance.

I'll try and remember to update if I ever get around to phoning them, (I've had to do it in the past and quite honestly it'd be more fun gouging your own eyes out with a rusty bean tin). I think they must work on that to discourage people from phoning.

Many thanks. Good info. Of course the rules have now changed for the self employed. Not only class 2 now nic is also due on any profits and that can add up to a considerable amount.

I tried phoning yesterday - twice in the morning and just got an engaged tone - twice more in the afternoon, got a ringing tone which after about ten seconds changed to an engaged tone - I thought that was a bit odd so I tried again and the same thing happened again. I guess it's a way they have of dumping a phone call that they can't be bothered to answer.

Looking through some of the guff I have from HMRC - if your wife has elected to pay a reduced rate of Class 1 NI then she won't be eligible for a refund.

ayjay,

Was the site about the changes beginning April 1st helpful?

It is in my first post to this thread.

Phone

It doesn't apply to me: I was born before 6th April 1951 and already have my pension, but if someone was looking for that information, then yes, it's helpful.
