I've decided to start a thread of words and phrases that I'm sick to the back teeth of hearing. Usually, these terms are used to justify additional controls and taxes on the UK population. Unfortunately, we seem to bending over and accepting them.

Feel free to add any of your own.....

"At the end of the day"

"24/7"

"Well good", (bad, fit, rank, ace, or any other thing that seems to fit).

Then there's "Not tonight I've got a headache".

There are loads more, just got to think a bout it. :)

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John

"At the end of the day"

also "that's what it's all about"

Jim Gibbinson once wrote an article about what it takes to become a famous carp angling writer. What cliches to use, guide to carp fishers' jargon, etc etc

One of the most hilarious bits of angling writing I have ever read.

It was entitled "Basically, at the end of the day, that's what it's all about"
