I purchased this USB adapter to down load from my Sony Cam which does not like firewire connection for reasons better known to it's self.

 

All went well until I converted to Vista and now I require a driver. It appears Smartdrive Corp has now purchased Zio Corp to add to my misery.

 

However it does appear there is a driver for Vista but I can only locate it on these driver programs which seem to want to cash in on other peoples problems. The driver is a third party one as I understand it and is free if you can locate it.

 

I refuse to pay 29$ for a free driver, does anyone know how or where I may find the driver?

For reasons best known to it's self the computer fails to see it on firewire.
