Nice idea Matt :)

Hard for me to plan more than couple of weeks ahead atm, but im up for it if I can make the date. Like Peterthefisherman I would also love to go back to Stonehaven as have not fished from there for 25 years..wow where do the years go ?...

Guess Arbroath might be better for the rest of the guys though?

Or should I just meet you off Arbroath in the yak :)

BTW I only know about two fishing methods so I can see much **** taking of my ability and tackle ahead! :D

"Skatie hole" ? visions of me and the yak being towed to Norway..

Is Stonehaven still good? It seemed awesome when i was young, i remember cod, plaice, catfish , haddock, ling, all being taken by anglers sat alongside me! :D

Killed my first cod there, bit weird at the time, did not want to kill it.

Wow what a good response, there obviously seems quite a bit of intrest in stonie, i'll try and find out how they've been fishing, Arbroath has been a bit quiet on the boat front they tend to shutdown over the winter (boat maintenance etc) there is only one boat i'd think of using from Arbroath thats Jim Swankie's Mari Dawn heard some bad press about the others. I know he only does full charters during the winter, I'll give him a ring and find out the score, the good thing about jim is if it hasn't fished well he'll tell you not just take you out anyway.

I am really flexible working offshore gives me the bonus of 2 weeks of a month, so if we can agree on a month i'll get it sorted. March/April would suit me down to the ground.

women love me, fish fear me!!
