We've been away for a while and so only have just caught up with this news.

Sue, you're certainly a positive thinker!

Both Peggy and I send our best wishes for a full and speedy recovery. We hope to see you at Wingham.

Thanks all for the concern.Lovely Pictures Snatcher. The view from your van isnt bad is it? I think the dancers are Tynebridge Morris, met them in Braodstairs a few years back, weird lot, they dont dont dance in pubs!

I look forward to Wingham, cant wait to get into the nice countryside and some fresh air, its so peaceful there ! Treatment going okay, responding well to it already. I have been considering myself lucky with the side effects as well as they were not half as bad as I had expected and have mapped out the good weeks I can go fishing and Wingham is one of the 'good weeks' yippee. Bit gutted had to cancel holiday to Cuba but we have been advised that we could travel in December so it will nice going at a different time of year for a change, different fish and different birds!

All the best Sue

Well I have just got back from the Medway hospital and can advise that Sue has had a lumpectomy removing the tumour, she is a bit groggy and just wants to sleep but I have been assured by the surgeon that she is going to be alright.

It will take a further two weeks for them to confirm that there is no further infection of the tissue and therefore no need for a mastectomy and after that a short spell of radiotherapy then we are home and dry.

At last we are beginning to see some light in what has been a long and dark tunnel.
