I love a good Bloody Mary on occasion garnished with celery, olives, and a pickle. Do you have a recipe to share, or perhaps even a good mix to recommend?

Where did I here that a bloody mary without the alcohol was called "a bloody shame!"

Let's agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours may be.

I thought it was called tomato juice and to me it tastes better without the alcohol. I think its a 'bloody shame' to spoil vodka by mixing anything with it, especially if it's Stolly. YMMV.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

A decent bloody mary has to include celery salt and a dash of bone dry sherry on the top. As well as all the usual bits and pieces obviously...........

In order of importance, but ideally all of them:

Worcester sauce

Lime juice

Tabasco

Celery salt

Chilli sherry

Grated horseradish

(To make chilli sherry, fill a kilner jar or other suitable container with chillies, making sure to put a slash or two down the side of each pepper. Fill with cheap sherry and leave to stand for at least a week or two. Best made with Scotch Bonnets or other very aromatic chillies, but bog standard hungarian hot wax will do)

Vodka, obviously, but actually like Cory I prefer it without. A pint of it is good for hangovers.
