Hi Steve

I can donate a book, My Red Letter Days by Matt Hayes. It's a hard back signed copy and description reads first printed in October 2015. I can not see if it is a reprint or not, it might be. Well can be viewed on the day by anyone interested.

Purchased direct from Matt's Hayes company.

Thanks, Andrew.

Please could you let me know what editions they are and whether they're hardback or softback. Thanks.

All hardbacks, and I think all modern reprints of first editions:

oops forgot 'how to fish' in the pic (and no idea why it's appearing sideways!) but that's included.

Here are the estimates for Anderoo's books. Bear in mind if you bought them online you'd be paying postage.

I'm putting them up as separate lots as many of you will have some of the titles already.

How to Fish by Chris Yates (despite the title not an instructional book!) £2 to £3.

Secret Carp by Chris Yates £3 to £5

Falling in Again by Chris Yates £7 to £10

Confessions of a Carp Angler by BB £7 to £10

Roach, the Gentle Giants by John Bailey £7 to £10

Fenland Zander by Steve Younger £15 to £20

Thanks, Andrew!

I would have bid for the fly rod but as I retire at the end of May and moving house things are a bit tight at the moment.

Ok so here are the lures:

Two boxes of lures with 2 or more of each lure (shown in close up) with some jig heads included. Sorry one of the Kopytos has curled up so its not very clear in the photo, the lure is fine:

Also a load of other lures still in their packs, all of the crazy fish packs are unopened. There are some of my all time favourite perch lures!

Finally a few more jig heads:

Everything you need for some lure fun!

To keep it all together here's a list of everything that's kindly been donated so far. You can find more about the items in earlier posts. The figures in brackets are my (rough) estimates.

Please let me know about any omissions or mistakes.

The auction will take place after the BBQ on Sunday, so about 2.30.

If you're not coming and want to make an absentee bid please e-mail me via the Wingham Fisheries website no later than 9pm Saturday. To give you a fair chance I'll start the bidding at or below the lower of the estimate figures.

I'll post the winning amounts and the winner's name (please say if you want to remain anonymous) after the event.

Vagabond

Lot 18 Creel magazines (50-80, 50 reserve)

Just to clarify Got them out of the loft, and find four of the early issues (June, July, Aug and Oct 1964, when Bernard Venables was editor) are missing. A few more are missing from later issues. Its some years since they went up in the loft, so please excuse the initial inaccuracy.

Forty issues in all, including the first eleven months, so will knock the reserve down to £40

Cheers, Dave. Reserve adjusted.

For those who aren't aware Creel was a brilliant magazine and probably the first high quality production. The early issues are increasingly hard to find.

Found another bit of kit to bring down. Its a Wychwood boat bag. They are a cracking bit of kit, well made and totally waterproof with several internal fold down pockets but as I have got two, one can go. Cannot post a picture as I am going to be out for the next few hours but I am sure it will find a good home. As with my other items without reserve.

This display of generosity by AN contributors is incredible. I'm sorry I can't donate anything this year but will happily kick off the bidding for Rich's lure lot with thirty quid.

It's never a 'six', let's put it back
