This display of generosity by AN contributors is incredible. I'm sorry I can't donate anything this year but will happily kick off the bidding for Rich's lure lot with thirty quid.

Dunno about generosity, but in my case I am just as concerned that good angling reading or vintage tackle finds an appreciative recipient, as I am about providing a well-earned bonus for our bailiffs. I have a deep interest in angling history, and hope those items foster that interest in a younger angler.

 

Similar motives inspire the gradual sale of my library on steam locomotives to younger steam enthusiasts so as to fund steam locomotive restoration projects.

I'm just concerned that rich's lure habit has got so bad that he can give away that many and still not make a dent in the stock pile!

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

Sorry Steve for a last minute addition! I've just been through the Zander Lure stocks and picked our a selection of my favourite Zander lures (the lure Steve W's took caught most of his fish is in here as well as 3 other colour variations). Also a few wierd creature lures:
