Florida April Inshore DaytonaBeach NewSmyrna Orlando Area

Recommended Posts

Great spring fishing continues in the Mosquito Lagoon backcountry and the Intracoastal Waterway area here at Edgewater and New Smyrna Beach where I fish which has nice clean water, unfortunately locations further south in the Indian River have been experiencing poor water quality caused by an algae bloom. Spring migrating game fish Jack Crevalle and Ladyfish have been thick with lots of fun rod bending, also good numbers of Seatrout and Mangrove Snapper, also some Redfish, Sheepshead, Black Drum, and others eating our live shrimp baits. Summer patterns will begin next month with more Redfish hunting on the flats, and Seatrout live baiting at Mosquito Lagoon. Bill from Jacksonville came down with his young boys and fished with me recently in the back waters, the boys had great fast action with all the mixed variety species including lots of fun Jacks with several up to about 5 lbs............................
