We need to accept that at Association Football, we just ain't very good.

Why not ? - it's very different with Rugby Union and Cricket

To be fair, there were 11 Icelandic heroes on the field - you just have to admire their resolve.

One day we may appoint a manager with some tactical nous...................

............and get rid of old strikers who are over the hill, not push them back into midfield for sentimentality's sake.

To be quite frank they got what was coming tonight, they haven't looked like scoring all through the tournament and only got a soft penalty tonight.

Why dont the players ever get sacked ,they're the ones paid to win ,if they dont they are refusing to do their job so sack them

If one applied the Chester's 50/50 Law, half the players (ie the losing team) would get sacked after every match - or both teams if t'were a draw .

It would be better to take up rugger and/or cricket in the first place.....

So wheres the punishment for failure to give an incentive not to fail ,not getting a bonus for winning isnt a deterrent when your wage packet is millions

So we left the EU on our own accord but were ejected from the Euros six days later?

Why are they even called the Euros as a lot of teams are not even in Europe?

A goalkeeper's job is not to let in goals. Why have I never heard of a goalkeeper being sacked for not doing his job?

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

Sometimes a team will be offered a *win bonus" but in general terms the players are paid to play, not paid to win - they always hope to win every game but that's impossible, sometimes the other team wins.

.......and it's not even 50/50 cos it could be a draw! :D

The manager chooses who will play and how they will play, he will change things as necessary during a game to try and achieve a successful outcome: these and other measures are his sole responsibility - if he cocks up big time stylee like last night he jacks it in - as in:- "The buck stops here"
