Shrimp fishing in the river (Regional Penepat West Kalimantan)

Fishing Udang Galah in Penepat dated November 6, 2016


Penepat area located in District Ambawang, Kubu Raya and to reach the site about - about it takes approximately 1 hour from the city of Pontianak. Street location is a bit difficult because it is a walkway made of cement road conditions almost 50% broken and part of the road is still a dirt road.

Area penepat there are approximately 10 canoes that can be used for fishing. Average - Average canoe condition of 80% and there is one new boat contrived. Canoe rental amount is Rp. 20,000 / day and indeed the average - average rental prices for the region Kubu Raya canoe around that price range. As for the motorized canoe fleet (undershorts / robin) does not exist in that location.


Rivers state

Rivers in the area Penepat a porcupine river that has the current is not too strong. By the time we fished was the state of the water is rather cold and rivers in keaadaan pairs that cause our targets, namely prawns a lot less.

Some natural factors that sometimes we encounter in while fishing the change in weather. Similarly, we were a couple of times to stop fishing because of the rain. (Indeed again the rainy season anyway ... hehehe).

Species caught in 2017: Siamese carp. Striped catfish. Rohu. Mekong catfish. Amazon red tail catfish. Arapaima. Black Minnow Shark. Perch. Chub. Brown Trout. Pike. Bream. Roach. Rudd. Bleak. Common Carp.
