Private Message Settings?

I'm a bit lost as to the different PM settings.

For Instance when I PM'd Addicted to Scopex - his profile came up with a Block/Unblock option!! (Yes Rik I now have your addy)

hen I clicked to UNBLOCK - it said "you can't reply to this Message as others have now left this conversation!!

Seems a bit double Dutch to me.

I also sent Emma Two a PM & that didn't have this option. (got your addy also Emma)
