There was, of course, no terrorist or refugee-related incident in Sweden on Friday, as Swedes have been pointing out since his silly remark.

The one that "caught on" here in the Midwest US was the presidents comment that "every jail serving inmates free coffee would lose federal funding".

 

Now, people are "looking" for silliness and even congering up conclusions for statements like the "coffee" statement. Surely it was in jest (?)

When I first heard the report my immediate thought was that he had been set up as the fall guy for somebody feeding him some spoof information, I mean surely he could not have imagined it happend!

 

Then it was reported that he saw it on Fox News, well, just well....

 

As I understand it, correct me if I am wrong please phone, Fox News is Republican biased and is it CNN that the Democrats have in their pockets, well quite possibly the tv channels have the Politicians in their pockets!

 

Anyway, crazy, just crazy.

 

But you did remind me sporty of a sketch on 'not the nine o'clock news' a few years ago, a guy walks into a newsagent and confidently asks for a magazine from the 'top shelf' when newsagent hands it over, guy becomes all edgy, looking around furtively, nervously asks for a copy of the daily mail in a whisper which, when handed over he quickly folds in half placing it inside the porno mag and walks out of the shop confidently, tried to find it on t'internet without joy.

Yep, plenty of reports of such incidents throughout Europe, and plenty of things that will never be reported. But they didn't happen 'last night in Sweden' so it's all ok, everything is fine, move along there is nothing to see here, just like the exploding firework factory.

 

It wasn't as Trump said it was, the fact that lots of similar things happen and never make the news means it is not a problem.

 

Just like the reports that automatic weapons of the type used in France are not available to terrorists in the UK, yeah right.
