Sorry, but Trump isn't intelligent enough to have a "doctrine" he is just a bully. It comes naturally to him.

If peace results (and that remains to be seen, whatever Kim says now) then it is more by accident than design.

If trump were awarded a Nobel prize it would be even more of a travesty than normal.

What a short memory we all have. It's barely a week since the Israeli intelligence service made it known that they have procured tens of thousands of documents from Iran indicating that in direct contravention of the 2015 agreement, Iran has maintained "a robust, clandestine nuclear weapons programme.”

Now, of course, it could all be "fake news" but until a thorough examination of the evidence has been undertaken and Iran has facilitated he examination of any and all locations identified in said documents, it would be foolish to carry on as if nothing has happened.

Afterall, a block on the deal is just a hiatus and the only way that the world is a more dangerous place tomorrow than it was today is if Iran has been lying all along and now has a bomb and the means to deliver it - in which case, Trump was right.
