Nationalisation, higher taxes, throw money at the public sector. Same old same old. Very popular with the 17% who already approve of him, but that's not who he needs to convince.

He might do a Trump. You never know. If he does, I suspect that it will be worthwhile the company I'm part of putting more effort into getting money out of the company without it going through PAYE.

Like I said, it plays well with the people who are already ideologically wed to nationalisation (and those who have forgotten how awful the service of nationalised monopolies was). They aren't the voters he needs to win over.

We live in interesting times.

The polls have got it very wrong in recent years, but they have tended to be wrong in the opposite direction. I think very large majorities are generally a dangerous thing for any colour of government, though I'm undecided about whether strong government is particularly dangerous or a necessary evil during the Brexit negotiations. Opposition is necessary so I don't think it is desirable for Labour to be annihilated, though perhaps that's what it takes to get Momentum's dead hand off the wheel.

Good points, at the moment, Labour is not only unfit for government, it cannot even function as a credible opposition.

OTOH A landslide Conservative victory in June might mean that when May stands at the despatch box to confront the "enemy" she may find her main enemies are behind her.

Big tax rises if the tories win they must think they are invisible or just pure arrogant and to upset the pensioners not a good idea do they actually know what they are really doing I thought Philip Hammonds national insurance was a massive climb down watch this space you haven't seen nothing yet own goals one after the other I don't think I ever seen a government in power trying to win another term give so much ammunition to there opposition incredible.

After breaking there previous election pledge on national insurance can you trust them after seeing the news this morning a lot of people will be having second thoughts the golden rule don't Hit people in there pockets and make it obvious..
