There are actually some very credible sightings if White Sharks around the UK but still no definitive evidence. Perhaps the most credible was a marine biologist diving off the Summer Isles in 2003 but this is the latest account:

Species caught in 2019: Pike. Bream. Tench. Chub. Common Carp. European Eel. Barbel. Bleak. Dace.

Species caught in 2018: Perch. Bream. Rainbow Trout. Brown Trout. Chub. Roach. Carp. European Eel.

Species caught in 2017: Siamese carp. Striped catfish. Rohu. Mekong catfish. Amazon red tail catfish. Arapaima. Black Minnow Shark. Perch. Chub. Brown Trout. Pike. Bream. Roach. Rudd. Bleak. Common Carp.

Species caught in 2016: Siamese carp. Jullien's golden carp. Striped catfish. Mekong catfish. Amazon red tail catfish. Arapaima. Alligator gar. Rohu. Black Minnow Shark. Roach, Bream, Perch, Ballan Wrasse. Rudd. Common Carp. Pike. Zander. Chub. Bleak.

Perfectly feasible a GW Shark - or likely as not, more than one has taken up residence in our waters.

Nature will always find a way where survival & food is concerned.

Of course, the GW is not the only large toothy shark that we have around our coasts. The big Porbeagals that have recently been landed very close in to the coast of Cornwall aren't really a threat to anyone but the north of he country is well within the range of the Greenland shark. Greenland sharks used to be thought of as deep water scavengers but they have recently been observed hunting seals (and stalking scientists) at the edge of sea ice.
