That is one way for the father to be present at the birth.

This almost happened to me. My wife's waters broke before we got into the car.

I never saw any of our three born all were by caeser ,i think nowadays dads can attend but i think only from the waist up

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle

I was there at the conception, that's enough for me.

Actually, I hope I was there at the conception!!!

The old man in his deathbed looks his wife in the eye:

"Honey, please be honest with me. I'm not long for this world, and something has really been eating at me for a while. I've always found our 6th son a bit weird...different, if you may. He has a different father from the other ones, hasn't he?" The wife, in tears and sobbing uncontrollably, asks for forgiveness and buries her face in her hands, while nodding. The husband, curious: "So, who's the father?" The wife, very sincere, answers "It's you..."

I think I prefer my way: the wife woke me at 3.30 a.m. with a cup of tea and said " I think you'd better take me to the hospital", (7.30 a.m. would have been better, but we can't have everything).

A bit like me then, except that my wife had just come out of the bath after dinner and was sitting on the sofa in her dressing gown when her waters broke. We had not that long moved in to the house so had no phone (this is before mobile phones were ubiquitous). She said "My waters have just broke, I better get dressed and you had better go to the phone box and phone the hospital". Hospital said bring her in now, but don't go breaking speed limits, this is not a medical emergency and you are not an ambulance driver.
