Outlook account settings out of date

Recommended Posts

From time to time I get a message from the calendar onthe bottom right of the screen that my 'Outlook account settings are out of date'. I think this is to do with changing my email address as, when I do further clicks, I see stuff with my old email. I have Microsoft 10.

2 questions

1. I had no idea I have Microsoft Outlook, which I imagine is superior to Thunderbird, the free client email I use. But presumably it's not worth switching cos all my saved emails are on the Thunderbird system?

2. How do I stop the message coming up? After a few clicks I had the option to 'delete the account'. But is there a risk I would delete stuff I want? Might it affect my access to Thunderbird?.

Hello! Unless you use them I'd remove the Windows 10 Mail and Calender apps. They can always be reinstalled later if you want them back.

Depending on what versions of Outlook we are talking about they may or may not be better than Thunderbird.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.
