As for 2 I think those who want to remain in touch with each other should exchange email addresses fairly soon. And no politics while rod is in hand.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Other forums exist although I confess that this is the only angling forum that I use regularly.

Hopefully there will be notice of foreclosure should it occur and an organised migration can be arranged.

Still here.

Check in most days to see if anyone has started a new thread.

Don't know about a fish in. If anyone fancies a few days in France I would be very happy to organise something

For one of those big catfish? Now there's a bloody good idea for a jolly.

Big catfish is what I had in mind

Two options

Option one

Drive down and bring all your own tackle. Fish one of the big rivers. Outcome uncertain

Option two

Get cheap (Ryan air) flight to Limoges. All kit supplied incl bivvies etc. You just supply sleeping bag

Specialist cat tackle can be hired for €95.00 a week Fishing a private lake with average cat weight 75lb + and many 100lb+

With 4 anglers we would have the lake to ourselves for around £350.00/week, including airport transfers and everything except fishing tackle hire.

Blimey that's expensive ,I will stick to not catching the biggie at badshot Lea for absolutely nothing ,one advantage its not in France its disadvantage its not in France ,a bike ride away if I had a bike lol

Not sure what "specialised" cat gear is ? A sea rod and multiplayer?

My biggest was 39lb (unfortunately my last as my Mrs condition stops me overnighting anymore) but it was lead meekly to the bank with a through action 2lb test curve err rod! And a plain old reel and stuff ,how the hell do I stop this auto correct doors spelling what it wants not badly as I want?

Cat tackle is 5lb TC rods and very strong reels loaded with 50lb line.

A 39lb cat is what we call "bait" around here.

My PB cat was around 100lb, we hadn't got scales that weighed that much. Landed on a 3lb TC rod and 14lb line when I was carp fishing. Fine for a one off, but if you caught big cats on a regular basis on it, it would break something, probably the reel to start off with.

I think mine didn't realise it had been caught ,and I thought it was a log it was just a weight on the end ,the only time it woke up was in the net.

I think your pokers would put the fish into a fight or flight scenario whereas mine just came along thinking the current was pushing it lol

It certainly broke something ,our son arrived at the split second it came to the bank and netted it breaking the handle despite me telling him to use the net to lift it ,none of that nursing it in the water rubbish then and no picture either I have only two of me holding a fish ,once with a carp at Horton Kirby and a spooky one of me holding a tench which now are catfish bait like it or not!

Should have used food ,bait not entirely correct or rather I hope not but never under estimate a carp or cat enthusiast lol

PS why discuss fishing here when there's an empty fishing section ? Even that thread has gone onto detecting from flag pole lol
