Going by the last 2000 years and the lifetime of the non christian ones you are most probably right ,when it comes to suffereing he/she/it does little to stop it or perhaps its brexit?

Snowing hard now so i will swop my peaked cold weather ear flap hat to my russian one ,i wear hats depending on activity ,i have a fishing hat with worlds best fisherman on it (bought by my youngest) my general walking about breton hat ,my realtree hat for detecting etc looks like falling snow needs a hat from a falling snow country ,i look like a prat in it but it needs an outing now and again

I just walked down the drive to check on the state of the road, (solid packed ice), but the state of driveway was something I've not seen before.

 

From the ground up:- 50mm of snow - covered with a layer of ice about 8mm thick - covered again by another 25mm of snow.

 

It's weird walking on it, it really crunches very loudly as the ice breaks and leaves a massive footprint.

 

This was probably "freezing rain."

 

From what I was just reading it comes down as a liquid but at some point it becomes supercooled to below freezing point but remains as a liquid until it hits the ground, whereupon it instantly turns to ice creating in effect an ice glaze over everything.

It's also cold enough to entomb things in ice with nothing more complicated than a hose pipe and a spray head - come on, park blocking my drive, I'm ready for ya'.

The freezing rain I mentioned earlier has now changed to snow.

 

There's no way we're crossing the icy patio to feed the birds. Luckily we'd refilled the feeders before the freezing rain arrived and put out food for the ground feeders. Now we're simply throwing crumbled up fat balls out of the window.

 

Yesterday we watched our top dog male blackbird trying to not only drive off both males and females of his own species but also redwings and fieldfares.
