I've just seen a swift!

There were other birds above it but they were quite a bit higher and travelling north at speed so I couldn't gat a proper ID on them.

It's unusual because it's normally the martins that arrive first and there were none to be seen on the local park on Friday.

All,

Today - April 15, 2018 - minus 3C - 1328 hrs. and snow and ice balls briskly falling and blowing about.

(Yesterday - April 14, 2018 27.2C - noon - turned on my air conditioning unit until about 1800 hrs).

I cannot fathom what is happening to my garden

Over the last 10 days or so, I've seen two lone swifts and nothing else. Today, the martins and swallows have arrived.

I'm also told that an osprey has been visiting a local reservoir - that I'm not going to name.

Ken,

No, this is out the backdoor of my house courtesy of my daughter. We didn't end up with any dangerous weather. Well, dangerous that came to pass anyway. About 7.5 cm of rain on top of an equal amount during the night.

It's a good and bad thing China won't be buying any soybeans. There aren't going to be any, at least in this part of the midwest. Not even the remotest possibility of getting in the fields and their "cutoff" in theory is 1, June.

This cloud formation/storm has a particular name - Which I promptly have forgotten
