Best Hook For Grayling Fishing

Any recommendations for a reliable hook for Grayling fishing I use a grain of sweetcorn or double maggot this fishing on EA freestretch so should be barbless what is the best size ? Using 16 or 18 at the moment.

I'd go with a kamasan animal in 14's. You say barbless but i've found a micro barbed (which is what animals are) are best, although they do come barbless also. Drennan super spades are another one I use, only difference between them being the colour and the super spades are a smidge smaller in the same size stated.

I always use Micro or whisker barb spade end hooks generally size 14,but,16 as well.Never really worried about the make,but, I did like Kamasan B525.

Never fished for European grayling. Canadian, #10 barbless for quick release. Only fish I recommend barbless. Yes, I believe it costs me a few fish - but

Yep' Barbless for me also - can't count the time spent getting stray barbed hooks out of clothes, shoe laces etc.

I use Kamasan B983 Wide Gape Specialist for Corn and Mustad Black Nickle Long Point LP280 for maggot - both in a 16 ( both microbarbed).
