To be fair I don't expect that the treatment I received was any better, or indeed, very different from that I would have had from the NHS. They have always been good in emergency situations.

Bet the food was better though :rolleyes:

A friend in France was told that he was on the verge of becoming diabetic. The female doctor over there told him it could be avoided with a diet but he would never stick to it, she didn't know the person she was talking to.

Sounds like a load of old billhooks to me chesters. Maybe he was seeing a homeopath.

That sounds extremely ill advised and dangerous and I can't imagine any Doctor from any country advising a patient to do something like that.

That sounds extremely ill advised and dangerous and I can't imagine any Doctor from any country advising a patient to do something like that.

Especially for a patient "on the verge of becoming diabetic". I'm not sure what on the verge of becoming diabetic" means. Sounds like being a little bit pregnant.
