You have you own storms brewing over access to education,.

The super rich are being exposed for paying for access to ivy league universities in order to perpetuate the legitimisation of your new aristocracy.

Meanwhile, the blatantly racist admissions policies of mainstream universities are being challenged not by white kids but by "Asians", who like their Caucasian counterparts are discriminated against by universities that set a higher academic bar for them than they do for their black, native American and Spanish heritage classmates.

The stage is set for Trump to step in and force all publicly funded universities to adopt a transparent and purely merit based admissions policy.

Can't come soon enough. Bring on the meritocracy and equality of opportunity.

Do we get given equality or is it only available to the powerful ?

Surely the giver isnt equal as he has equality to give out? Who owns this box of equality which is given out?

Equality is nonsense it cannot exist

Ken,

Fair enough, I'll ask again.

At what age should an English lad know the name of your Queen?

Phone

Hint: Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor

Does learning the names of all America's presidents by rote make someone more imbued of American culture and values than someone who hasn't or is culture more ephemeral and yet more profound than simple rote learning of facts?

I don't think that knowing the name of the Windsor/Saxe-Coburg and Gotha family or even the existence of the monarchy really matters a damn. Being British is about shared values and to a lesser extent shared history.

Skin colour and religion are a good way down the list of stuff that matters.

This comes right to the nub of why I get so ticked off about "Multiculturalism" or the injection of radical far left ideology into education.

Multiculturalism, by definitions means having people with radically different and conflicting values living cheek by jowl with no common values to bind them together and that never ends well.

I couldn't care less if my neighbour is black or Indian, or Muslim or gay - I do care if they are part of a community that rejects the fundamental values of British society, wants to subvert that society and has no problem with making it clear that they despise me.
