 some characters spoke English with a Russian accent yet others in a plain English accent. 

 

Perhaps they got the idea from watching "  'Allo 'allo  "   :)

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness  it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

There's a charity shop near me that raises funds for the Chernobyl kids. They bring them over here every year for a holiday and help them with dental care, etc. I had a chat with them in the shop recently about it. Seems like a proper 'grass roots' charity, as opposed to the larger corporate ones that dominate these days.

Its a very popular place lots of films have used it as its nicely falling apart and nature taking it back! some residents never left
